Motivating Camera Movement- The Jib

The purpose of this assignment is to create, explore, and discover new methods of shooting while moving the camera.  Camera movement motivation is all about developing a purpose for the audience to look where the director wants them.  Beyond simply following moving objects around in the frame, movement is motivated by the information that is necessary to convey the meaning of the shot.

Perform 12 Jib shots for this assignment. 

3 of these shots must experiment with booming hi to lo
3 of these shots must experiment with booming lo to hi
3 of these shots must experiment with booming with diagonals
3 of these shots must be experimental and awesome

The camera MUST be secured to a jib to perform the movements.  Use storytelling motivation to fuel the shot.

USE HANDHELD AND FAIL

Use female actors.  Nobody in the class may appear in these videos. Must use natural sound.  No overdubbed music.  Focus on storytelling with the shots.

Each team is responsible for posting 1 video they have chosen to represent their submission. DO NOT POST MORE THAN 1 video per group. Please indicate the group name with submission. Please give credits for crew and actors.
